It Follows - An origin story for the monster known
as the “Trash Man.” It began when a star or
metorite from outer space fell into a landfill and
mystriously creates a monster out of the garbage
found in the landfill. The landfill sits outside of a
rural small town, which is where the Trash Man
will eventually end up causing havoc in a quiet
neigborhood. Ultimately I would like this to be a
fun story, but have an undelying message to raise
awareness about waste. I plan to have cutouts/
popups of real facts/tips about waste. The twist on
the story is that its actually a creepy bedtime story
a father tells his daughter at night. A scare tactic
to teach her to be mindful of waste and reducing
waste. The father tells the child the “Trash Man” will
come for you if you don’t dispose of waste properly
and mind the environment. My story also aligns with
Yupo’s mission.
